Island of Lastovo is located 14km south of Korcula

In 2006, the Croatian Government declared the island and its archipelago, Lastovo Archipelago, a nature park due to the unusual preserved land and underwater beauty, forestation, coastal cliffs, underwater caves and rare marine species. Archipelago consists of 44 islands, with the largest islands being Lastovo, Susac, Prezba and Mrcara, and the others being small islets. Croatian independence created different circumstanced that favored the development of the island, but its relative isolation and economic conditions resulted in lack of significant changes to Lastovo development. catamaran 3 hours to reach it. Inhabitants of Lastovo have always relied on natural resources, and even today they are focused on fishing, olive, carob and vine growing. Roman emperors enjoyed Lastovo wines and lobsters. Lastovo offers accommodation in Hotel Solitudo in Pasadur, Skriveni camp by Skrivena Luka or apartments that you can find on Lastovo, albeit not numerous, but available in all of the mentioned villages. In the village of Lastovo you can find 15th and 16th century houses, unusually looking 17th and 18th century chimneys or walk over the store steps in the old core. Lastovo also has one of the oldest carnival traditions that was mentioned as early as 1390. On the Island of Lastovo you can visit one of the oldest Adriatic lighthouses, Struga, numerous old churches (over 30 of them) or you can go for an excursion to the 60km remote Palagruza lighthouse, with only 50km left to Italy.
