road. The symbol of Marina is the 15th century bishop's tower, erected on a cliff that was later connected to mainland by a mound and Citadela fortress that was erected on the mainland next to the Church of St. Marina. Mary of Drid (better known as the Church of Our Lady of Snow) and the archeological site Stari Trogir (Old Trogir) represent a protected area and construction monument that testifies for the fact that this area was inhabited in the time of Illyrians, Greeks and Romans. Along with the Parish Church of St. Jacob, there are number of churches and chapels worth seeing in the village and the surrounding area, such as: Renaissance Church of St. John the Baptist from the 15th and the 16th centuries or Chapel of St. Phillip and Jacob in Grota Cave. Accommodation in Marina is complemented with restaurants (Marinska kula, Sesula, Kumpar, etc.) and pebble and paved beaches that extend all the way to the village of Poljica where every row of apartments has its own beach and pier for boats. Those who like untouched, wild, rocky beaches will prefer going to the other side of the bay.
